(This is not a love story. This is A &B + CRYING CYCLE III)
In2024, Daniel Matos & João Catarino began the collection The Crying Cycles, a trilogy reflecting on the present moment and the need for detachment and letting go in order to make a complete new beginning possible.
In this third part, they bring to a close the three-year journey alongside performer Joana Simões, surrendering everything they have gathered to the abyss. A floating dream shows us how deeply we lose ourselves and fail to see ourselves, how gentle it can be to disappear into something that swallows us, even if it remains invisible.
In the dancevideo Crying Cycle 3, we contemplate the end of this trilogy with thecertainty that sadness is a weapon for the future.
“... because, after all, wenever wanted anything.”
